Jim Shanahan

Jim Shanahan and his wife, Sharon, have proudly called Sharpstown home since 1976. Over the decades, they have remained deeply committed to supporting their community through various initiatives and service projects. Sharon, now retired, worked for Houston’s District J and served under Councilmember Mike Laster, who originally sparked the vision for the Sharpstown Parks Alliance.

Together, Jim and Sharon were founding members of the Alliance, helping to bring that vision to life. Jim recently retired after 27 years of dedicated service at Texas Children’s Hospital and continues to invest his time and energy into strengthening the Sharpstown community.
