Kim Perry

Kim Perry, a passionate urban vegetable and herb gardener, was born and raised in Denver, Colorado.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University in the field of Social Work and a Master’s degree in Agriculture Science from Texas A&M. She currently serves as the Director of Education with Urban Harvest, where she oversees the Community Garden Program and Classes. Prior to that, Kim was the Harris County Extension Agent for Prairie View University, where she facilitated educational workshops and classes for farmers and urban gardeners. Kim is a retired Harris County Master Gardener and was awarded the Outstanding Service Award in 2020. Kim has served and continues to serve on several boards one of which was the American Community Garden Association.  She’s been featured on several news channels, in many blogs and newsletters, and at educational speaking engagements. During her downtime, she loves to garden, paint, and make soap.
